
Migrating to Azure CSP
We helped increased Clue’s profitability by moving them to Azure CSP

Objective
Clue’s objective was to fully optimise in the cloud in support of its business expansion. To achieve this, Clue wanted to make its current infrastructure more efficient, less costly with more opportunity to increase security. Clue also needed to increase its ability to monitor insights to aid cost management and decision making.
Solution
One of our partners and licensing experts, Grey Matter, initially engaged with Clue to assess their existing Azure subscription before contacting us to provide technical support. Grey Matter recommend the CSP indirect reseller model, over Clue’s Azure subscription, as a better fit for Clue and their customers.
Microsoft’s billing support team does not support moving Azure CSP subscriptions as these are partner-billed. So, to achieve the objective, Grey Matter employed our technical experts to assess, plan and migrate the existing workloads from a single Azure tenant to separate tenants for each of their customers.
Our Microsoft certified Cloud Solutions Engineers authored and used custom scripts for each migration, working with Clue to create a multi-stage migration process to separate and prioritise customer workloads.
A security workshop was also delivered by our technical team to Clue to help them better understand the additional security services and features that could be leveraged within Microsoft Azure.


Outcomes
Clue is now benefitting from operating effectively as an CSP indirect reseller through Grey Matter. Each of their customers have their own separate Azure tenant with centrally managed subscriptions making it much easier for Clue to manage and deliver their solution.
